I am a figurative artist. A key theme in my work is the human-animal relationship. I am interested in the way that this relationship can transcend the limits of verbal communication, as well as the humor that can arise from using both anthropomorphism (applying human qualities to non-human animals) and zoomorphism (applying animal qualities to humans) in tandem. My primarily graphite and metal-point drawings recall surrealism and folk art in their depiction of human figures with animal heads.
In 2024, I received my BFA in Drawing from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, New York. In 2022, I received my AAS in Painting and Drawing, also from Pratt Institute. I am currently based in Manahawkin, New Jersey.
